The Most-Loved Dress.

Silk has the remarkable ability to give a graceful and elegant look, and a silk dress can be styled up or down effortlessly. However, my personal experiences with silk dresses have not always been great, despite their beautiful appearance.

Let me share an embarrassing story involving a silk slip dress. Despite my love for its look, I never owned a silk dress because I often found them cut in a boxy shape. If they weren’t boxy, the straps were too long, making my shoulder-to-chest length look disproportionate, almost taking up three-quarters of my torso. It felt like such a shame that there wasn’t a silk dress that fit a petite woman like me, not to mention the countless other petite women out there!

This inspired me to reinvent the silk dress for petite women—not just to fit but to flatter and enhance our bodies beautifully. The front and back cowl necklines in our dress are designed to make you look stunning from every angle. Unlike other cowl neckline silk dresses, ours are crafted to hug and drape perfectly to your body shape.

Speaking of shape, I spent months perfecting the form of this dress to create the ideal hourglass silhouette. This was intentional because, during my research, many women expressed their love for form-fitting garments but were conscious about revealing their tummies, especially after a full meal. To address this, we fitted the dress on models of all sizes and gathered feedback from women with different body types to ensure their concerns for this particular form were carefully addressed.

The journey of developing this dress was super extraordinary, and thankfully, this design has become the most-loved dress in our collection—not just for its look, but for its functionality. My goal as the designer is to make this dress timeless. It's a piece you'll reach for when attending a friend's wedding, a special occasion by the beach, in a garden, at a winery, a beautiful reception, or even at a formal black-tie event. It is truly a one-of-a-kind dress that is worth every dollar of your investment!
